In 2017, the Prix de Lausanne gave a “Carte blanche” to the Swiss photographer Niels Ackermann to document the competition in his own way. Niels Ackermann is aged 30 and lives between Switzerland and Ukraine. His work shows the world and its nuances: from the teenagers of Tchernobyl who are fixing their parents mistakes to the millions of Lenin statues that the Ukrainians do not know what to do with today.
