General Info

Japan Preselection will be held in Hyogo on October 1stand 2nd, 2022.

Dancers can register for either or both the Prix de Lausanne – Japan Preselection and/or the main Video Selection. Applying also for the main Video Selection may give them another chance of being selected for the competition. However, they are required to pay for each registration fee.

Registration

  • The competition is open to ballet students who are citizens from Japan, born between February 5th, 2004, and February 4th, 2008.
  • Online registration is open from June 1st to June 30th, 2022.
  • The registration fee of CHF 150.- (non-refundable) is due June 30th, 2022.
  • Results will be announced latest July 15th, 2022.

    Prix de Lausanne Prize Winner 1996 / Honorary Principal Dancer, K Ballet Company (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Toru Shimazaki
    Freelance Choreographer & Directing Professor of The Dance Program in the Music Department of Kobe Jogakuin College (Japan)
  • Dominique Genevois
    Former soloist of Maurice Béjart’s Ballet du XX siècle in Brussels & Professor of classical dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon
  • Etienne Frey
    International Choreographer & Freelance Dance Teacher / Gold Medalist and Alicia Alonso Prize (1997) / Nijinsky Prize (2001)
