Practical Information

The Prix de Lausanne 2027 will take place from 31 January to 7 February 2027, at the Beaulieu Theatre, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

On Sunday, 7 February 2027, the Rising Stars performance will take place at the Théâtre de Beaulieu in the afternoon.

Information regarding the registration for the Video Selection:

• Applicants must read attentively the competition’s Procedure and Rules & Regulations. 
• The competition is open to dancers of all nationalities, born between 7 February 2008 and 6 February 2012.
• Registration is open from 1 to 30 September 2026, 12pm, Swiss time.
• Medical records must be submitted between 1 and 30 September 2026. The link for the medical form will be sent to you after the completion of the registration form. The medical form has to be completed with your doctor. Please, make sure to book an appointment before 30 September.
• Applicants must pay 175 (one hundred and seventy-five) Swiss Francs, non-refundable. This amount must be paid online by credit card before 30 September 2026.
• Your video file must be received by the Prix de Lausanne office before 10 October 2026.
• Candidates selected to participate in the competition in Lausanne will be notified by 29 October 2026. They will receive more information regarding the 2nd registration process.

In the registration form automatic confirmation email, you will receive the link to the medical form. You need to fill the medical form with your doctor, before 30 September.

Thanks to generous sponsors, the Prix de Lausanne can offer financial support to candidates who may be in need. Applicants must contact the Prix de Lausanne to communicate their intention to apply for financial support before their registration for the video selection, on 30 September 2026, at the latest. If the candidate is selected, they will then have to send the formal application before 2 November 2026. More information can be found in our Rules and Regulations.

I did not receive confirmation that my registration is complete for the video selection of the Prix de Lausanne. Why have I not received confirmation?

There are 4 required steps to the registration process:

1. Registration form
2. Medical form
3. Video upload*
4. 1^st registration fee*

You will only receive a confirmation email once we have received and processed your registration form, your medical form, your video file, and your payment for the 1^st registration fee. Please avoid sending multiple emails if you have not completed all required steps.

We will contact you should any corrections need to be made to your registration form or video file. Please check your email every day. Also check your spam box and alternative email address. We are processing all the files one by one so it might take us a few days to come back to you with confirmation.

*This does not concern preselected candidates.

My video upload did not work on the website. What can I do?

It can be that the website is overloaded. Please wait a few hours and try again. If it still does not work after multiple attempts, you can send your video file via https://www.swisstransfer.com/en-us to registration@prixdelausanne.org. Please make sure to name your video file with your full name, and that the file’s size is the one we require.

Can I include a classical variation in my video or a live performance?

No, please do not include a classical variation nor a live performance. These are not part of the video requirements. Please carefully read the Rules & Regulations as well as the Competition Procedure where you will find all practical information.

What are the clothing requirements?

When will the results be announced?

The results will be announced on Thursday 29 October.

If I want to apply for financial support, what should I do?

Candidates must send us an email with their financial request to registration@prixdelausanne.org before 30 September. If you are selected for the competition, the full application form should be filled before 2 November. You will find more information in the Rules & Regulations.

I can no longer participate in the competition, am I eligible for a refund?

As mentioned in the Rules & Regulations, registration fees are non-refundable no matter the reason of cancelation.

I am a preselected candidate. How do I register?

If you were preselected at the Summer Intensive – International Preselection 2026 or at the Latin American Video Preselection 2026, you are still required to fill in the registration form and to submit your medical documents. However, you must not submit a dance video, and you must not pay the registration fees.

Special mention winners of the Summer Intensive – International Preselection 2026 and finalists of the Latin American Video Preselection 2026 do not need to pay the 1^st registration fee of the main registration process of the Prix de Lausanne 2027, but they must submit their registration form, medical form, and their dance video.
