Practical Information

The Prix de Lausanne 2027 will take place from 31 January to 7 February 2027, at the Beaulieu Theatre, in Lausanne, Switzerland.

On Sunday, 7 February 2027, the Rising Stars performance will take place at the Théâtre de Beaulieu in the afternoon.

Information regarding the registration for the Video Selection:

• Applicants must read attentively the competition’s Procedure and Rules & Regulations. 
• The competition is open to dancers of all nationalities, born between 7 February 2008 and 6 February 2012.
• Registration is open from 1 to 30 September 2026, 12pm, Swiss time.
• Medical records must be submitted between 1 and 30 September 2026. The link for the medical form will be sent to you after the completion of the registration form. The medical form has to be completed with your doctor. Please, make sure to book an appointment before 30 September.
• Applicants must pay 175 (one hundred and seventy-five) Swiss Francs, non-refundable. This amount must be paid online by credit card before 30 September 2026.
• Your video file must be received by the Prix de Lausanne office before 10 October 2026.
• Candidates selected to participate in the competition in Lausanne will be notified by 29 October 2026. They will receive more information regarding the 2nd registration process.

• Candidates have received a private link with the classical video files for the official choreographies by Frederick Ashton. This link and the videos must not be copied, reproduced or shared. The official orchestral audio files for these variations will be sent privately to the candidates who choose to perform one of Frederick Ashton’s variations after the second registration is closed.

Selected candidates must submit a new headshot via the 2nd registration form. Please see below examples of headshots that meet our requirements for all the printed material of the upcoming Prix de Lausanne 2027. Please send a file with minimum size of 500 ko.

The second registration for the Prix de Lausanne 2027 is now open until 13 November 2026. Selected candidates need to complete the 3 following steps:

• Fill out our commitment form which you can find here. You will need this form completed and signed to upload in your registration form.
• Fill out our registration form here.
• Pay the second registration fee here.

Thanks to generous sponsors, the Prix de Lausanne can offer financial support to candidates who may be in need. Applicants must contact the Prix de Lausanne to communicate their intention to apply for financial support before their registration for the video selection, on 30 September 2026, at the latest. If the candidate is selected, they will then have to send the formal application before 2 November 2026. More information can be found in our Rules and Regulations.

Can I edit the audio file of my variation? 

You are required to dance on the official music available on our website. Editing of any sort is not possible. Please choose carefully your variation knowing that you will have to dance on the official music’s tempo.

What are the clothing requirements?

Please carefully read the Rules & Regulations as well as the Competition Procedure where you will find all practical information.

What is the Networking Forum?

The Networking Forum gives the candidates who are not selected for the Finals an opportunity to be seen by schools and companies Directors from all around the world. Selected candidates will receive more practical information during the month of January.

I can no longer participate in the competition, am I eligible for a refund?

If you can no longer participate in the competition, please inform us as soon as possible by writing an email to registration@prixdelausanne.org. As mentioned in the Rules & Regulations, registration fees are non-refundable no matter the reason of cancelation.
