Born in Brazil, Mayara Magri begins ballet at the age of 8 in Rio de Janeiro. In 2011, she wins the Gold medal at the Grand Prix Youth America and becomes a Prize Winner at the Prix de Lausanne, where she gets a scholarship to pursue her education at the Royal Ballet School.
By the time she graduates, she dances Paquita and Un Ballo as lead female roles and joins the Royal Ballet Company, where she is appointed First Soloist in 2017.
Still as a Soloist Mayara had already done many Principal Roles at The Royal Opera House and guested in prestigious ballet galas around the globe. In 2020 she was due to premiere as Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, but this was cancelled due to the pandemic. In May 2021 she was promoted to Principal and in February 2022 she finally had her debut as the “Swan Queen” in Swan Lake.
Apart from her on-stage achievements, Mayara is very interested in social projects and uses her voice as brand ambassador bringing awareness to causes she believes in.
