Aleisha Walker

Aleisha Walker was born in Houston, Texas. At the age of 11, she began to study classical ballet at Houston Ballet Academy. She attended Houston Ballet Academy from 2012 to 2017 on full scholarship.  In 2018, Aleisha attended American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive and began training at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School that September. Walker joined ABT Studio Company in September 2019, became an apprentice with the main Company in November 2022, and joined the corps de ballet in June 2023.

At the 50^th Prix de Lausanne in 2023, Aleisha won the Young Creation Award (YCA) with her original variation Do you care?. She will be coaching her own variation at the 2024 edition of the competition.
