This year 4 conferences will take place at Beaulieu Theatre during the Prix de Lausanne. Join us for intimate discussions and question and answer sessions with some of the most amazing figures in the world of dance!
The first Daily Dance Dialogue will take place on Tuesday January 28 at 5.30 pm in the Foyer.
Peter Lewton-Brain is going to present a very interesting conference about how to perform better on a rake
The subject of his talk is closely connected to the Beaulieu theater stage where the Prix de Lausanne candidates dance. Indeed this stage has a 3,5% slope that allows a deeper perspective and a better view for the audience. But how does it affect the dancers? How do they adapt to it? How do they prevent injuries or accidents?
Peter Lewton-Brain was born in London and studied dance at the School of American Ballet in New York. He is resident osteopath at the Academie de Danse Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo and directs the Dancer’s Health Clinic at the École Supérieure de Danse Cannes, Rosella Hightower. He is also a Member at Large of the Board of Directors of IADMS, the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.
The conference will be moderated by Jason Beechey, Director of the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz Dresden.
