Today, during the Selections of the Prix de Lausanne 2023, 82 candidates from all around the world have performed one classical variation and one contemporary variation on the stage of the Beaulieu Theatre, in Lausanne, in front of a large audience. The jury members observed the candidates in their classes and coaching sessions throughout the whole week before making their final choices at the end of the Selections.
The Jury, consisting of 10 of renowned dance professionals of our times and presided this year by Jean-Christophe Maillot, Choreographer-Director of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo and Prix de Lausanne 1977 Prize Winner, have selected the 22 Finalists of the 2023 Prix de Lausanne:

The 22 selected candidates are from 11 different nationalities. The most represented ones are Japan (4 candidates), South Korea (4 candidates) and United States (3 candidates).
The Finals will take place on Saturday, 4 February at 2.30pm (Swiss time). The livestream, provided by ARTE Concert, will be available on our website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. The Prize Winners will be announced around 6pm.
11 Finalists will receive a scholarship and have the unique opportunity to choose among the most prominent schools and companies of ballet in the world.
