Rodolfo Saraiva was born in Rio de Janeiro. He is a dancer with the corps de ballet of the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theater. He was previously a dancer with the National Ballet of Ireland and the São Paulo Dance Company. His repertoire includes choreographies by Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Peter Wright, Rodrigo Pederneiras, and Márcia Haydée, among others.
He trained at the Rhitmus Center for Arts and Movement in Rio de Janeiro and at the Prodanza Center in Havana, Cuba. He holds a bachelor’s degree in dance from the Paulista College of Arts and a postgraduate degree in Classical Dance Education from the Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theater Foundation.
As an Assistant Director, he worked with dancers Thiago Soares and Claudia Mota, on front commissions for the Rio Carnival, films, and dance performances, including a season as a teacher and Rehearsal Director at the Monterrey Ballet in Mexico.
