Alexander Mockrish

Born in Sweden to a Swedish mother and an American father, Alexander Mockrish grew up across several cultures, including Europe, the Caribbean and New York City. His artistic voice is shaped by this international background and deeply rooted in music.

Alexander trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm before continuing his education at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York. He was a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne 2023, receiving the Contemporary Dance Award. In 2025, he won the Young Creation Award for his original piece Extinction.

As of the 2025–2026 season, Alexander joins Boston Ballet II. Alongside his performance career, he continues to explore choreography.
