We are proud to announce the results of the
Latin American Preselection 2025!

On 25 and 26 September 2025, 55 young dance talents from seven countries gathered in Rio de Janeiro for two days of preselection. The event concluded at the magnificent Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, where an international jury of esteemed professionals carefully evaluated each performance.

At the end of the preselection, the jury announced the results:

  • Four exceptionally promising dancers were invited to take part in the Prix de Lausanne 2026, with travel and accommodation provided.
  • Two honorary mentions—one in ballet and one in contemporary dance—were awarded in recognition of remarkable performances.
  • Six finalists will have their videos reviewed free of charge by the Selection Jury in October.

Organised by the Prix de Lausanne with the support of the State of Rio de Janeiro’s Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Rio de Janeiro, this preselection is dedicated to discovering and nurturing emerging Latin American talent and offering them the opportunity to join the world-renowned competition in Switzerland.

We warmly congratulate all preselected dancers, finalists, and participants for their commitment and hard work. We are proud to support the next generation of exceptional Latin American artists in their artistic journeys.
