Each year, incredibly talented dancers have the opportunity to be preselected for the Prix de Lausanne, resulting in beautiful success stories. In 2021, during the video edition of the Latin American preselection, Brazilian dancer Luciana Sagioro was selected while training at the Escola de Dança Petite Danse in Rio de Janeiro. She went on to win the Bourse Jeune Espoir at the Prix de Lausanne 2022, which led her to join the Paris Opera Ballet School. In 2023, she was accepted into the Paris Opera Ballet, and by 2025, she had been promoted to the rank of Coryphée. She has since performed soloist roles in productions such as Paquita and Giselle.

The 2023 Latin American preselection took place in Córdoba, Argentina, where another young Brazilian dancer, João Pedro dos Santos Silva, earned his spot at the Prix de Lausanne 2024. Trained at the Escola do Futuro em Artes Basileu França in Goiânia, Brazil, João delivered an outstanding week of performances, culminating in a remarkable final interpretation of Harlequinade. He went on to win the First Prize and is now continuing his training at the Paris Opera Ballet School.
