Since its founding the Prix de Lausanne has gradually evolved from a classical ballet competition to an enriching week of learning, professional networking and personal growth for young dancers.

While dance fans are familiar with the most visible parts of the competition – the selections, finals and prize-giving ceremony – few people, even professionals from the dance world, realise everything that the competition offers candidates coming to Lausanne.

What really goes on in the studios, backstage and in the wings of this world-famous dance competition? How are these young dancers moved and inspired by teachers, coaches or other candidates from the four corners of the globe?
