Previous companies/positions : Bejart Ballet Lausanne – soloist, The Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet, West Australian Ballet – principal dancer
Current company/position: Ludwig company – co-director
Favorite roles/choreographies: I have loved a range of works and roles over the years. Bejart’s « Elue » in his Sacre du Printemps was very special. But I have also loved Swanhilda and Myrtha as much as Petronio’s Middlesex Gorge and the work that my partner and I are creating today.
Career highlight: Working closely with Maurice Bejart and getting to know him just a little will always be a highlight. The roles I danced with BBL gave me so much scope for interpretation and development. Creating and performing my own work, now, is another highlight!
Message to the Prix de Lausanne candidates: At the Prix, you will meet and come into contact with an array of talented, creative people. Stay open, alert and curious. And make friends… These people, you will come across time and time again and can offer you invaluable lessons.
Message to the Prix de Lausanne organisation: The Prix de Lausanne sent me on a wonderful trajectory of discovery. The connections made have been precious and invaluable; my career explored since – vast, diverse, exciting and continuing to grow!
