General info

  • The Prix de Lausanne 2023 will take place from January 29th to February 5th, 2023 at the Beaulieu Theater, in Lausanne.
  • The Finals will take place on February 4th, 2023.
  • The Gala of Stars will take place on February 5th, 2023.

Dancers who wish to apply for the next competition must be born between February 5th, 2004 and February 4th, 2008. More information can be found in the Procedure and Rules & Regulations documents.

Candidates info


  • Registration is now closed.
  • The 1st registration fee of 175 (one hundred seventy-five) Swiss Francs must be paid HERE before September 30th, 2022.
  • The video file must be submitted before October 14th, 2022.


  • Selected candidates will be announced latest October 27th.
  • Selected candidates will be asked to submit a 2nd registration form and pay the 2nd registration fee of 200 (two hundred) Swiss Francs before November 18th, 2022.

Video upload 2023

Max. file size: 2 GB.
Video deadline: October 14th, 2022. Maximum size: 250MB. Please make sure your video can be viewed using VLC Media Player. Should you fail to upload your video after several attempts, please send the video file by using the We Transfer website to NO FILES EXCEEDING 250MB will be accepted. Use a online free compressor like "mpeg streamclip" to compress your video.

Application for financial support

Thanks to generous sponsors, the Prix de Lausanne can offer a financial support to candidates who may be in need. Candidates must contact the Prix de Lausanne team to inform them that they will apply for financial support prior to their registration for the Video Selection, on September 30th, at the latest. If the candidate is selected, he/she will then have to send the formal application before November 8th, 2022.

The formal application for financial support must contain the following documents:

  • A letter from the parents explaining the financial situation
  • A letter from the teacher
  • A copy of the parent’s tax return from the previous year

Financial support

The Prix de Lausanne will consider the request formally and make a decision once the above-mentioned documents are received. Should the financial help be approved, the Prix de Lausanne will cover the following for the participant:

  • Round-trip ticket from place of residence to Lausanne including flight, train, buses
  • Accommodation in a hotel room with breakfast included
  • Lunches in Beaulieu
  • Daily stipend of CHF 40.-
  • Insurance (if needed)
  • Registration fees of CHF 175.- and CHF 200.- (refunded)

Cancelation policy

The participant who obtained financial support needs to provide a medical certificate should he/she cancels his/her participation in the competition. Without proof, the participants will be responsible to pay the total amount of the travelling costs incurred.
