50th anniversary

What's on

The 2023 edition of the Prix de Lausanne will take place from 29 January to 5 February 2023 at the Beaulieu Theatre, in Lausanne.

  • Coaching and classes are open to the public from Monday to Thursday (no reservation needed / 15chf to be paid on site / free under 12yo)
  • Junior Selection is held in the morning and Senior Selection in the afternoon of Friday, 3 February 2023
  • Finals are taking place on 4 February 2023 
  • Gala of Stars, 50-year anniversary celebration with performances of our alumni dancers and our Partner Schools’, is taking place on 5 February 2023

Grand-Pont Exhibition
23.01 – 06.02.2023		 Unveiling of the project by Julie Masson, carte blanche photographer of our 2022 edition. Large-format photo exhibition on Lausanne’s Grand-Pont. Free
Plunge into the Prix de Lausanne’s Archives
30.01 – 05.02.2023		 Plunge into the Prix de Lausanne’s photo and video archives thanks to the linear navigator, an innovative and technological installation set up by the EPFL’s Laboratory for experimental Museology eM+. The installation will be accessible freely all week long. Free
“50 Starry years” book & autographs
30.01 – 05.02.2023		 Presentation of the book “50 starry years”, written by Mr. Jean-Pierre Pastori on the occasion of the 50thanniversary of the Prix de Lausanne. Possibility of autographs with members of the Jury and the artistic team.
Inauguration of the Philippe & Elvire Braunschweig Plaque

Choreographic projects
01.02.2023
 Discover a whole evening of choreographic projects with our Partner Schools:

  • Finals of the Young Creation Award: 5 young dancers from our partner schools will present their original variation;
  • Unveiling of the choreography created by Goyo Montero for 26 dancers from our Partner Schools.

“The Prix” Movie Premiere
05.02.2023		 Screening (premiere) of the docum-film realised on the occasion of the Prix de Lausanne 50th anniversary. It follows the journey of young promising dancers across the globe. 25 CHF / limited number of seats!
