07.01.14 - the schedule for Peter Lewton's Daily Dance Dialogue on Tuesday, January 28th has been modified: it will begin at 17:30 instead of 17:00.

14.01.14 - A fourth Daily Dance Dialogue, a presentation on sports science and dance training with Patrick Rump, Brian Maloney and Stefanie Arndt will take place on Friday, January 31st from 12:30 to 13:30 in Studio 2.

A limited number of seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Selections

20 Swiss francs for the morning session and 20 Swiss francs for the afternoon session.

Free for children 7-15 years (children under 7 not admitted).

In person at the Opéra de Lausanne box office starting December 16th.

In person at the Information Desk, Foyer of the Théâtre de Beaulieu, from the 27th to 30th of January.

In person on Friday, January 31st at the Théâtre de Beaulieu box office.

Finals

(Saturday, February 1st - See the schedule below for exact times and programme details.)

20 to 90 Swiss francs (children under 7 not admitted). Online, print-at-home tickets, available from December 16th to January 31st.

In person or by telephone (+41 (0)21 315 40 20) at the Opéra de Lausanne box office from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 18:00, from December 16th and January 30th.

In person at the Théâtre de Beaulieu box office on Friday, January 31st and Saturday February 1st.

Tickets purchased by telephone up to and including January 23rd will be sent by mail.

Tickets purchased by telephone after January 23rd must be picked up in person at the Opéra de Lausanne box office by Thursday, January 30th OR in person at the Théâtre de Beaulieu box office on Friday January 31st or Saturday, February 1st.

On Site Events

For ballet fans residing in or near Lausanne, or for visitors arriving from abroad, there is nothing more exciting than seeing firsthand the 42nd annual Prix de Lausanne competition. While the finals are the highlight of the Prix de Lausanne week, the public is invited to attend any of the following activities taking place in Lausanne. Here is a glimpse of what's in store for you!

Classes

Warm-Ups

Coaching

Candidates receive one-on-one advice and tutoring in the classical or contemporary variations they have chosen to perform. Classical variations will be coached by Monique Loudieres and Patrick Armand. Contemporary variations will be coached by Nancy Euverink, assistant to Jorma Elo, Ayako Nakano, assistant to Richard Wherlock, and Goyo Montero. Click here for schedule and tickets. Run-Throughs

Candidates run through their classical and contemporary variations on stage under the supervision of the choreographers and coaches.Classical variations will be coached by Monique Loudieres and Patrick Armand. Contemporary variations will be coached by Nancy Euverink, assistant to Jorma Elo, Ayako Nakan, assistant to Richard Wherlock, and Goyo Montero. Click here for schedule and tickets. Classes for Local Groups Students of local ballet schools are given the enriching opportunity of taking classes with an international ballet star. The public is invited to watch. Free of charge. Schedule . Studio 1

Daily Dance Dialogues

Dance celebrities Peter Lewton, Julio Bocca and Alessandra Ferri will discuss their careers and take questions in an intimate and informal setting.

An interdisciplinary team of sports scientists and ballet coaches, comprised of Patrick Rump, Brian Maloney and Stefanie Arndt, will give a presentation on rehabilitation, injury prevention and performance enhancement.

Tea and coffee will be served prior to each Daily Dance Dialogue except on Friday. Free of charge, open to the public.Schedule .

Selections The semi-finals of the competition featuring classical and contemporary variations performed before the audience and jury by all 2014 candidates. Click here for detailed schedule and information on purchasing tickets. Theatre
Finals Following Friday's selections, 20 finalists perform their classical and contemporary variations in front of the jury. Preceeded by a warm-up that the public is invited to observe, the finals also include a half-hour Interlude performance given by special guest artists (to be announced).     Live Streaming of the Finals

    The 2014 finals will be streamed live on the Internet at www.prixdelausanne-live.com, in high definition, on Saturday February 1st at 15:00 CET. Tune in to watch the competition at your time.

    For residents of Switzerland, the 2014 Finals on Saturday, February 1st, will be broadcast live on La Télé. (For Swisscom TV customers nationwide, La Télé is included in your basic package.)
