01.02.13 - the schedule for male and female candidates' afternoon selections on Friday, February 1st has been modified: they will start at 13:30 instead of 13:15.

Daily Dance Dialogues Free Open to the public (children under 7 not admitted). Limited seating capacity. This is an exciting new event at the Prix de Lausanne. Guest speakers as well as dates and times can be found in the schedule below. Before coming to Beaulieu Theatre, check for any last-minute news or updates. A limited number of seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Classes, Coaching, Run-Throughs and Warm-Ups 10 Swiss francs, ticket valid all day.

Free for children 7-15 years (children under 7 not admitted).

Selections

20 Swiss francs for the morning session and 20 Swiss francs for the afternoon session.

Free for children 7-15 years (children under 7 not admitted).

In person at the Opéra de Lausanne box office starting December 17th.

In person at the Information Desk, Foyer of the Théâtre de Beaulieu, from the 28th to 31st of January.

In person on Friday, February 1st at the Théâtre de Beaulieu box office.

Finals

(Saturday, February 2nd - See the schedule below for exact times and programme details.) The finals are sold out.

20 to 90 Swiss francs (children under 7 not admitted). In person or by telephone (+41 (0)21 315 40 20) at the Opéra de Lausanne box office from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 18:00, between December 17th and January 31st.

In person at the Théâtre de Beaulieu box office on Friday, February 1st and Saturday February 2nd.

Tickets purchased online or by telephone before January 23rd will be sent by mail.

Tickets purchased online after January 23rd must be picked up in person at the Opéra de Lausanne box office until Thursday, January 31st OR in person at the Théâtre de Beaulieu box office on Friday February 1st or Saturday, February 2nd.


Tickets may be purchased at the following locations:

  • Information Desk, in the Foyer of the Théâtre de Beaulieu (Google Map -opens in a new window) (on your left and up the stairs when arriving by the main entrance to the Théâtre de Beaulieu)

On Site Events

For ballet fans residing in or near Lausanne, or for visitors arriving from abroad, there is nothing more exciting than seeing firsthand the 41st annual Prix de Lausanne competition. While the finals are the highlight of the Prix week, the public is invited to attend any of the following activities taking place during Prix week. Here is a glimpse of what's in store for you!

Classes

Warm-Ups

Coaching

Candidates receive one-on-one advice and tutoring in the classical or contemporary variations they have chosen to perform. Classical variations will be coached by Monique Loudieres and Patrick Armand. Contemporary variations will be coached by Goyo Montero, Charlotte Broom, assistant to Didy Veldman, and Christophe Dozzi, assistant to Jorma Elo. Click here for schedule and tickets. Run-Throughs

Candidates run through their classical and contemporary variations on stage under the supervision of the choreographers and coaches. Classical variations will be coached by Monique Loudieres and Patrick Armand. Contemporary variations will be coached by Goyo Montero, Charlotte Broom, assistant to Didy Veldman, and Christophe Dozzi, assistant to Jorma Elo. Click here for schedule and tickets. Classical Class for Local Groups Students of local ballet schools are given the enriching opportunity of taking a classes with an international ballet star. The public is invited to watch. Free of charge. Schedule . Studio 1

 

Daily Dance Dialogues

 

Dance celebrities Li Cunxin, Tamara Rojo and Gilles Jobin will discuss their careers and take questions in an intimate and informal setting. Mme Erin Sanchez will discuss the medical website of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation to celebrate the launch of the newly redesigned and updated Nureyev Medical Website. Free of charge, open to the public.

Selections The semi-finals of the competition featuring classical and contemporary variations performed before the audience and jury by all 2013 candidates. Click here for detailed schedule and information on purchasing tickets. Theatre
Finals Following Friday's selections, 20 finalists perform their classical and contemporary variations in front of the jury. Preceeded by a warm-up that the public is invited to observe, the finals also include a half-hour Interlude performance given by special guest artists (to be announced).
