New contemporary variations for the Prix de Lausanne candidates!
On the occasion of its 38th consecutive edition, the Prix de Lausanne is extremely happy to announce the names of the two choreographers who have generously accepted to provide the next Prix de Lausanne competition candidates with their contemporary creations.
The two young and already internationally well known choreographers are Cathy Marston and Christopher Wheeldon (Prix de Lausanne laureate in 1991).
Upon registration, every candidate will receive an official DVD from which he/she will be able to prepare one of the variations he/she thinks best suits him/her.
Information and registration for the Prix de Lausanne 2010
During coaching sessions, each candidate selected to come to Lausanne will receive advice from the choreographer or his/her assistant on how best to perform the variation and follow the choreographer's intentions. It is one of the Prix de Lausanne distinctiveness that the experience gained at the competition is as much as possible rewarding notably by allowing the young candidates to immerge for some time into the privileged work of a dancer with a choreographer.
Cathy and Christopher's styles will no doubt enlarge the candidates' vocabulary. We are very thankful to them both.
Registration for the Prix de Lausanne 2010 is open until September 30, 2009!
