Candidates selected for the 2015 Prix de Lausanne

300 candidates ( 228 girls and 72 boys), representing 34 different nationalities, applied to participate in the video selection that took place from November 6th to 8th, 2014.

The jury in charge of the video selection was made up of:

Mrs. Amanda Bennett, Prix de Lausanne artistic director and director of Balletschule Theater Basel

Mr. Nicola Biasutti, Teacher at the John Cranko Schule, Stuttgart

Mrs. Paola Cantalupo, Artistic director of the Ecole Supérieure de danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower and Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Danse de Marseille

Mr. Jason Beechey, Rector of the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz, Dresden

Mrs. Sara Matthews, Director of Central School of Ballet, London

Mrs. Kathryn Bradney, Former principal dancer Béjart Ballet and director of the Ecole de danse Igokat, Lausanne

Mr. Igor Piovano, Former principal dancer Béjart Ballet and director of the Ecole de danse Igokat, Lausanne

Mr. Dmitry Govorukhin, Dancer with Ballet Zurich and teacher at Yen Han Dance Center, Zurich

Mr. Sasha Kirichenko, Former dancer with Ballet Zurich and teacher at Yen Han Dance Center, Zurich

The panel has selected 67 young dancers, representing 18 different nationalities, to go through to the next stage of the competition, which will take place in Lausanne from February 2 to 7, 2015. You can see who they are here: Video selection results – 2015 Prix de Lausanne

In addition, Victor Goncalves Caixeta and Marcos Vinicius Souza Silva were selected at our Preselection in Argentina, and Giuditta Vititello was selected at our Preselection Dresden in Germany.

We would like to congratulate all selected Prix de Lausanne 2015 candidates and wish them all the best in their preparation for the coming months.
